Tis’ the Season to be Gifting!
Whether you are lighting the Menorah or your Christmas Tree, SoMa offers some incredible retail options for tracking down the Perfect Gift here are a few of our Fave!
Enviable Housewares and Jewelry adorn this Maplewood Village staple. I once convinced my husband I needed an $60 whale sculpture, well, because it was just the type of gorgeous and well-selected item that would remind me of my time as a new mom. Needless to say, this place is sure to please.
This sweet centrally located Maplewood Avenue boutique is not only the go-to destination for Fishs Eddy products, but it is also my one-stop destination for Men’s stocking stuffers: Bacon Socks, Flasks, throwback retro candy. What’s not to love?
Avian and John
If you have yet to check out this new Springfield Ave destination, then the Holiday’s is the perfect excuse! Avian and John features handcrafted furniture made from reclaimed and vintage wood courtesy of John, while also offering fine home goods.
Men of the SoMa, are you listening? I repeat! Pay attention, husbands! There is honestly nothing from this perfectly curated online shop, brought to us by local Maplewood Mom Marichelle Hills, that your wife will not love. You can opt for delivery or Marichelle offers local pick up/delivery. Come on dudes, we literally can not make it any easier for you. You can do it!

Key to Karma – listen up! This is important.
Giving back is an essential component of the Holiday Spirit, and as a proud Maplewoodian, it warms my heart to see so many of our Neighbors to stepping up to make amazing things happen in our community. A sincere thanks to all of you who joined us at our Usborne Book Benefit in October. Collectively, we raised $750 in books for local classrooms, and these donations have been greatly appreciated. Looking to give back this Holiday? SOMASD is hosting it’s Annual Toy Drive from now through Dec. 11th. Visit http://villagegreennj.com/event/somsd-annual-holiday-toy-drive/ for more information on how you can get involved! Additionally, local Mom Katie Rickard is organizing a “Weekend of Service” Jan 20-22, Inauguration Weekend. Join us and several other SoMa residents as we pledge to roll up our sleeves and make amazing things happen in our local and surrounding communities. Amanda will also be undertaking a project at Ronald McDonald House, and we are happy to get you set up to work alongside us or on another local project in the community!
